David Tadevosyan and Vasilis Maragos discussed opportunities for exporting Armenian high-tech products and digital services to the European market

On September 25, Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence David Tadevosyan received the delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Armenia, headed by Vasilis Maragos, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia and Ambassador.

According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, during the meeting, the sides discussed further development of Armenia-EU cooperation in the fields of high technology, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

The parties discussed opportunities for exporting Armenian high-tech products and digital services to the European market.

The importance of expanding cooperation to facilitate Armenian companies’ access to European markets, as well as cooperation on standards and certification processes, was emphasized.

The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation between Armenia and the EU in the fields of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. In particular, they addressed opportunities for Armenia to integrate into the European research and computing ecosystem, implement joint AI projects, and connect Armenia’s technological and human potential with European partners.

The meeting also addressed the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), as well as issues related to cybersecurity, the protection of critical infrastructure, and the development of secure digital connectivity.
